Gay Friendly

Long time ago we wanted to put the banner of sexual diversity and “gay friendly” title on our website and in our offices, but we rejected this idea due to an important reason: Because we do not want to get into the chain of businesses that use this flag to attract more customers.

However, situations in which people who visit our offices had strong| emotional shock to see our photo exhibition against homophobia and diversity of our banners in different places of the house, this encouraged us to make more visible our political work areas. So we want our customers know beforehand, that we are a Spanish school where:

1 - Teaching Spanish works with ethics and professionalism.
2 - We make our workplace a place to act against employment discrimination against women.
3 – We do a political work against discrimination and homophobia.
4 - We work on respect for the environment with practical and definite actions every day.

Political action against homophobia:

-We produce a photographic exhibition each June 28th in which the team of the Spanish School Matagalpa define a topic and set up a presentation at our school and remains permanently.

- We are active co-workers of the standing place against Homophobia organized by a youth group called Agents of Change.

- In our physical space, expressions of discrimination of any kind, including discrimination against gays and lesbians are not allowed.

- We do internal training toward the lift of taking awareness of sexual rights. In addition, we do priority about the inner work of our bodies to overcome cultural barriers that deny us the right to live a sexuality without prejudice.
